The Schmitter Peak is a small and 1167 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . In the Prince Charles Mountains, it rises 5 km southwest of Mount Woinarski .
Aerial photographs taken in 1956 and 1960 as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE) were used for mapping. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) named it after Ulrich Schmitter, a cook at Davis Station in 1964.
