Schnell Verlag

The quick-Verlag was founded in 1834 by Joseph Swift as Schnellsche J. bookstore, printing and publishing in Warendorf founded and exists today as a book publisher.

history

Right from the start, the company was also a bookstore, newspaper publisher and printer. On October 4, 1834, the first edition of the Warendorfer Wochenblatt appeared . This appeared twice a week until 1895. From 1895 the "Verlag J. Schnellsche Buchhandlung" published the Neuer Emsbote newspaper, the people's newspaper for the Warendorf district, Telgte and the surrounding area . From it a local newspaper developed, which still exists today as Warendorf local part of the Westfälische Nachrichten .

Since the 1970s, the company has been transformed into a pure book publisher with an attached bookstore under the management of the then owner Peter Salmann. Schnell Verlag has been part of the dienstträger.de group since 2015.

Publishing program

The main focus of today's publishing program is cooking and baking, Goethe and Weimar , Wilhelm Busch , as well as regional and Low German. Works by well-known authors of the publisher are:
