The Schnodderbach is a brook in the Ardey Mountains , the source of which is on the mountain Auf dem Heil (273.8 m) in Herdecke and which flows into the Ruhr in Wetter .
The brook is part of the municipal boundary between Herdecke and Wetter. It also bears this function in its name, because "Schnodder", like the street name "Auf dem Schnee", is derived from the word " Schnade ", which in turn means border.
