The Scholars Peak ( English for scholarly peak ) is a 750 m high mountain in East Antarctica Victoria Land . In the north face of the Taylor Valley and thus at the southwestern end of the Tarn Valley, it rises 800 m west of Mount Falconer .
The New Zealand Geographic Board named it in 1998 based on the various tarns in the vicinity of the mountain, which are named after well-known universities.
