The Schreiner Group GmbH & Co. KG is an internationally active German family business with headquarters in Oberschleißheim in Munich , which specializes in the development and production of functional parts, labeling solutions and special self-adhesive labels.
history
In 1951 Theodor and Margarethe Schreiner founded the M. Schreiner company as a special factory for embossed seals and labels . At the beginning of the 1960s, Helmut Schreiner experimented with adhesive material on embossing presses as the print shop manager of his parents' company. After a few modifications, self-adhesive labels were mass-produced for the first time.
In 1961 "M. Schreiner" changed its name to "Labels Schreiner". Helmut Schreiner was initially an authorized signatory until he took over the company in 1974. The name change in 1984 to "Schreiner Etiketten- und Selbstklebetechnik" corresponded to the changed product portfolio. In 1993 the company, which had 160 employees at the time, moved from the Munich district of Fasanerie-Nord to Oberschleißheim in the north of Munich. Ten years later, the company employed 500 people and set up another production site in Blauvelt , New York State , in 2008 and in Shanghai , China, in 2015 .
In September 2012, Roland Schreiner, the third generation of the Schreiner family, took over the management of the Schreiner Group. The Schreiner Group has 70,000 square meters of operating space. In 2016, the company achieved sales of more than 170 million euros, with an export share of 68 percent. The company supplies products to around 50 countries. More than 1,100 employees work at four locations worldwide. There are also 26 foreign representations.

Industries and products
The company develops and produces tailor-made products and solutions for customers from the pharmaceutical industry and medical technology, technical industry, logistics , automotive and electronics industries as well as for banks and authorities. The portfolio includes individual labeling and film solutions as well as functional and security labels with integrated technologies (e.g. RFID , printed electronics ).
Among the products best known to end consumers are the fine dust sticker , the scratch-off label for sending PINs , seals for vehicle papers and other documents, as well as labels with removable labels for documenting vaccinations.
The different industries and technologies offer a wide variety of possible combinations for individual and innovative products: The Schreiner Group's product portfolio includes more than 300 different functional parts, identification solutions and special labels. In addition, the company holds numerous patents for label solutions, such as for a syringe label with integrated needle protection, for membranes for pressure compensation or for protective labels for secure PIN dispatch.
Schreiner Group uses most of the common printing processes for the production of the labels, such as letterpress , digital printing , flexographic printing , hot stamping, offset printing and screen printing as well as combinations thereof.
Companies
The Schreiner Group acts as an umbrella brand for three business areas that are responsible for specific markets and have their own sales organization:
- Schreiner MediPharm implements solutions for the pharmaceutical industry and medical technology
- Schreiner ProTech addresses the automotive and electronics industries
- Schreiner PrinTrust is aimed at service companies and authorities.
These business areas are interlinked with the so-called "Competence Centers", which are home to the technological know-how.
- Schreiner ProSecure specializes in technologies for product and document protection
- Schreiner LogiData develops RFID products and RFID system solutions
- Schreiner PrinTronics focuses on printed electronics
- Schreiner Services offers technology consulting, system sales and services.
