The Schumann Nunatak is a Nunatak in the north of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the southwestern part of the Freyberg Mountains it rises 3 km south of the Salvador Nunatak .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1969 after Edward A. Schumann, radiation researcher at McMurdo Station in 1967 .
