Schuricke trio

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Schuricke Terzett was a German singing group around the entertainment singer Rudi Schuricke .

history

Schuricke made his first experiences in ensemble singing with the Kardosch singers of his singing teacher István Kardos . When in October 1933 a member of the group dropped out during a live broadcast on Königsberger Rundfunk, Schuricke was allowed to step in for the first tenor, who was surprisingly ill, and was thus able to prove his talent. Kardos then took him over to his group.

From February 1936 to March 1937 he sang first tenor with the Spree Revellers, founded in 1934 by the pianist Werner Doege .

When István Kardos emigrated in 1936 and the Kardosch singers disbanded, Schuricke built his own singing group with former members of this ensemble. This initially included the baritone players Helmut Krebs and Karl Golgowsky . When Krebs left, he was replaced by Horst Rosenberg . In this line-up - Schuricke himself sang tenor - the Schuricke trio was then constituted.

The greatest success of the trio, which is currently performing in a modern style, resulted from its art of being able to imitate almost all instruments. The radio and the record industry expressed their interest in the ensemble, which received engagements in the most important variety theaters in Berlin - such as the Wintergarten , the Scala and the Plaza .

The Schuricke trio performed with German orchestras from the 1930s and 1940s, e. B. with Willy Berking , Will Glahé , Michael Jary , Oscar Joost .

The Schuricke trio took part in a total of four feature film productions:

  • Game on Board (1936)
  • Adventure in Love (1938)
  • People, animals, sensations (1938)
  • Kitty and the World Conference (1939)

The group can only be seen briefly in the two films produced in 1938.

In 1939 Schuricke was called up for military service. After that, his trio dissolved. Rosenberg and Golgowsky continued to sing, but each for himself, at Imperial or Odeon and Decca for the record.
