Hans Strothoff
Hans Strothoff (born November 28, 1950 in Bremen ; † August 11, 2020 ) was a German family entrepreneur . He was the founder and CEO of the MHK Group AG.
Life
Hans Strothoff completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk . He started his professional career in 1969 at Asko Finland Furniture. Here he was responsible for central purchasing and later for sales management. In 1975 he moved to the interior design company Designo Stuttgart. Here he rose to the management.
Foundations
In 1980, Hans Strothoff founded the MHK Group AG. Since the establishment of the MHK Group AG, Strothoff has founded various associated companies:

- 2012 Founding of the VMEMHK purchasing company together with the furnishing partner ring VME in Bielefeld.
In 2010 he initiated an investment program for the clear positioning of owner-managed medium-sized specialist retailers. In 1991 the MHK Group took over the Küchen-Ligakaufgesellschaft mbH and in 1999 the WK Wohnen GmbH. In 2006 he took over the VKG companies in Holland, Austria and Spain. In 2012 he founded the VME MHK purchasing company together with the Einrichtungspartnerring purchasing association. In autumn 2015 Strothoff founded a new association for shareholders of Küchen Partner AG.
From 2005 until his death, Strothoff was President of the Federal Association of German Furniture, Kitchen and Furnishing Specialists (BVDM) and Chairman of the Board of the Association of the Technical School of Furniture Trade eV In 2004, he endowed a professorship in business administration with a focus on trade marketing in the economics department at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt . In 2008, Hans Strothoff founded the Strothoff International School Rhein-Main Campus Dreieich , which started teaching a year later. In 2014 Hans Strothoff founded the "Verein Zukunft Dreieich eV" The aim of the association is to increase the quality of living and location in the city of Dreieich. In summer 2015 Strothoff presented a master plan for Dreieich.
