The Schwarzwassertal in the Austrian state of Tyrol is the uninhabited valley of the Schwarzwasserbach, a left tributary of the Lech, running from west to east . The valley is home to the Siegl lakes .

Location and limitation

The valley floor is at about 1100 to 1200  m above sea level. A. and is bordered in the west by the Hochvogel ( 2593  m ) and the Rauhhornzug adjoining it to the north from the Kesselspitz ( 2283  m ) to the Kälbelespitze ( 2135  m ), which also forms the border between Tyrol and Bavaria . The southern boundary is formed by the Rosszahn group with the Großer Rosszahn ( 2356  m ) and the Stallkarspitze (2350 m) as the highest elevations. To the north, the valley is bordered by the southern ridge of the Vilsalpsee Mountains, the highest peaks of which are the Lachenspitze ( 2126  m ) and the Leilachspitze ( 2274  m ), which is already far into the Lech Valley . The valley ends where the Schwarzwasserbach flows into the Lech near Forchach .
