The Great Sieglsee from the Kastenkopf (2129 m)

The Sieglseen are two almost circular doline lakes in the Schwarzwassertal in Tyrol , located at an altitude of 1205 meters . The Große Sieglsee is about 100 meters in diameter and about 30 meters deep. The Kleine Sieglsee is about 30 meters in diameter. The lakes were created as collapse funnels in Raibler layers with sandstones , clay slate and Rauhwacken . The lakes drain over the Sieglseebach into the Schwarzwasserbach .
