The Kastenkopf is a 2,129 m high mountain peak in the Allgäu Alps . It is located in the Rauhhornzug and is the "twin summit" of the Kälbelespitze (2135 m). Both form the southern end of the basin in which the Schrecksee lies.

There is no marked path leading to the box head. However, it can easily be climbed in footsteps from the Lahnerscharte, over which the Jubiläumsweg leads. The ridge crossing from the church roof to the north over the Kälbelespitze ( UIAA III ) is more difficult and, because of the fragile rock, also dangerous .
