The Swedish U-21 women's national soccer team was a junior selection representing Sweden in international women's soccer . Originally founded as the U-19 national team. The national team was founded in 1998 when it replaced the U-20 national team . In 2007 the national team was dissolved and replaced by the U-23 national team .

Neither FIFA nor UEFA offered an official competition for this age group. The Nordic Cup , which was held in this age group between 1998 and 2006, was therefore the most important event for the U-21 selection team. In this tournament, the team met the U-21 teams of the strongest European associations and the United States , so that the competition was considered an unofficial European championship.
