PY 135'636) of 130'842 sold or 145'747 (previous year 155'516.) Distributed copies and is equipped with a range of 580,000 (previous year 592'000.) Readers of the most widely read tabloid in Switzerland.
history
The Schweizer Illustrierte in 1911 under the name Schweizer Illustrierte Zeitung (SIZ) founded. Since issue No. 37 of September 6, 1965, it has only been called Schweizer Illustrierte . In the early years, historical and political issues were more present than they are today, when they are more likely to be counted among the rainbow press. The change from ailing, deficit weekly newspaper to a successful people magazine took place in the 1990s under the then editor-in-chief Peter Rothenbühler .
Since August 21, 2015, Schweizer Illustrierte has been appearing in a slightly new design and with an expanded editorial offering on Friday.
The equivalent for French-speaking Switzerland has been produced with L'illustré since 1921 .
