Schwingbach (municipality)

Schwingbach was a municipality in the Hessian district of Wetzlar . Today its former area belongs to the municipality of Hüttenberg in the Lahn-Dill district . The Schwingbach was the namesake of the community.

history

On August 1, 1968, the previously independent communities Groß-Rechtenbach and Klein-Rechtenbach formed the new community Rechtenbach . On December 31, 1971, these and the communities of Vollnkirchen and Weidenhausen were dissolved and incorporated into the new community of Schwingbach.

On January 1, 1977, the municipality of Schwingbach was incorporated into the municipality of Hüttenberg together with Reiskirchen and Volpertshausen on the occasion of the municipal reorganization in Hesse .

Schwingbach comprehensive school

The Schwingbach comprehensive school has existed since 1971 and was run as an integrated comprehensive school until the 2001/2002 school year , but due to political decisions in the Lahn-Dill district in August 2002 it was converted into a cooperative comprehensive school with high school, secondary school and secondary school.
