The Scott Glacier is a glacier in the US state of Alaska . It is located in the Chugach National Forest 22 km northeast of Cordova .
geography
The 22 km long Scott Glacier has its nutrient area at an altitude of 1000 m in the Chugach Mountains . The average 2 km wide glacier flows to the southwest and ends 23 km from the Pacific coast. 3.5 km above the lower end of the glacier, the Scott glacier joins a larger tributary glacier coming from the right . 7.5 km further east is the parallel Sheridan Glacier . The 23 km long Scott River flows from the glacier tongue to the sea. It is crossed by the Copper River Highway .
