Scott is an impact crater on the front of the moon near the South Pole. Due to this location, the inside of the eroded crater is often bathed in shadow. It is south of Demonax crater and west of Amundsen .

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1964 after the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott .
