Scott Douglas Lively (born December 14, 1957 ) is an American lawyer , publicist and ex-gay activist .

Life

After leaving school, Lively studied law at Trinity Law School . Lively is president of the conservative US organization Abiding Truth Ministries and chairman of the local California chapter within the American Family Association . He has appeared in the United States as a speaker and lobbyist on television and radio shows. Lively was involved with the Americans Don Schmierer and Caleb Lee Brundidge in the preparation of the Ugandan law to tighten the criminal liability of homosexuality in Uganda . This law was introduced to parliament by David Bahati and would have resulted in the death penalty for homosexuality. Lively is married with two children.

The Pink Swastika

Together with Kevin E. Abrams he wrote the book The Pink Swastika . In this book, Abrams and Lively take the view that homosexuals started the Nazi movement and were behind most of the atrocities during the Hitler era.
