Scott Hahn (born October 28, 1957 ) was a Presbyterian pastor until 1986 and has been a Roman Catholic theology professor and biblical scholar since 1990 .

Life

Scott Hahn graduated from Grove City College, Pennsylvania , with a Bachelor of Arts with a triple-major in Theology, Philosophy and Economics in 1979, and a Masters from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 1982. In 1986 he converted to the Roman Catholic Church and has held the professorship for theology and biblical studies at the Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio since 1990 . His Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from Marquette University in 1995.

He has been married since 1979 and has six children with his wife Kimberly, who converted to Roman Catholic in 1990. He described the story of his faith in his book Our Way to Rome .

He and his wife are members of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem .

Act

Scott Hahn is the founder and current president of the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology , a Christian biblical research institution and think tank . Hahn acts as a lecturer in many places and appears regularly on the television station Eternal Word Television Network ( EWTN ).

In 2005 he got a teaching position at St. Vincent Seminary in Latrobe , Pennsylvania. He is the author of several books on religious subjects. Together with Curtis Mitch he is editor of the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible (Ignatius Press).
