Scream Week (Original title: Sneekweek) is a Dutch slasher from the year 2016. For the director Martijn Heijne was in the role of director of the first feature film length after being as such already in series like Lesboos or De rode loper participated .

A group of young people meet in a rented villa in Sneek for Sneekweek to celebrate a common party. During a test of courage in the ice water, one of the guests dies, and the group can initially hide the cause of death. Two years later, six members of this group return to Sneek for Sneekweek. Once again a rented villa serves as accommodation, but this time several group members die during their stay due to external influences, for which no explanation can be found at first. Little by little the group gets on the trail of the murderers and finally finds out that those responsible are police officers.

Filming

Most of the film's locations are in Sneek and the surrounding area. Filming began on August 14, 2015 and lasted until September 28, 2015.

After the bankruptcy of the original distributor A-Film , the distribution of Sneekweek was taken over by Dutch FilmWorks .
