Sean McMullen (* 21st December 1948 in Sale , Victoria ) is an Australian science fiction - author .

Life

McMullen is one of the best known currently active science fiction and fantasy authors in Australia. He has published more than 17 books and numerous short stories. So far, however, only souls in the big machine , the first part of his Greatwinter trilogy, and his Moon Worlds sequence have been translated into German. McMullen has been nominated several times for the Australian Aurealis Award for Science Fiction . He won in 1999, 2001 and 2003.
