Sean Sonderleiter (born December 17, 1980 in Des Moines , Iowa ) is an American basketball player who played for the Bundesliga club ratiopharm Ulm in 2010/2011 . His size, his middle distance throw up to the three-point line and his strength under the basket are the characteristics that allow him to play the two great positions of the power forward and, at times, the center .
Career
Special Leader attended the University of Iowa since 2000 , where he also plays on the college league basketball team. Due to personal problems, however, he left the team in 2004 after only 17 games, which was already associated with the end of the power forward's career. But Sean Sonderleiter starts a fresh start in the second Australian basketball league and manages to play in the 2008/2009 season for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants team, which is in the NBA's youth division , the D-League . With his statistics of 11 points and more than 6 assists per game, Sonderleiter wants to present himself to many coaches and managers in the basketball world in the NBA Summer League .
With the move from Fort Wayne Mad Ants to ratiopharm Ulm , Sean Sonderleiter is now playing for the first time in the top division of a European club. For the 2011/2012 season, Sonderleiter did not receive a new contract in Ulm.
He then moved back to the US and received a contract with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the NBA Development League . This was also extended for the 2012/2013 season.
