The Seaside Clubbers are a German hip-hop formation from Villingen-Schwenningen , which consists of the two frontmen Marvin Weisser (born September 18, 1984) and Benjamin Hils (born August 28, 1984) as well as several producers. They are currently under contract with the German music publisher Roba.

Career

Weisser and Hils began recording several German-language hip-hop tracks in 1999 under the name Duo Fatal . In 2005 they decided to change their name to Seaside Clubbers and to change the entire musical concept and appearance. From then on they produced songs with party-heavy content mixed with house and electro beats.

At the end of 2009, a single called Disco Pogo (We turn off!) Was circulating on various video platforms , the artist of which was specified as TBA (to be announced). Due to an incorrect introduction by an internet radio station, this single was mistakenly named the successor single of Atzen ( Frauenarzt & Manny Marc ) to Das geht ab! announced. Due to the high popularity of the song on the Internet, the Atzen decided , based on the original of the Seaside Clubbers, to record Disco Pogo themselves and to publish it as a single. Disco Pogo von den Atzen rose to number 2 in the German sales charts in the following weeks. The Disco Pogo versions by Seaside Clubbers and the Atzen were both released on the German dance label Kontor Records . Weisser and Hils are also registered as the authors of the Atzen version.

In 2010, Seaside Clubbers won the vote for the Show Me 10 project ! (Explode3) ( Darius & Finlay and Shaun Baker ). The project is the third part in the Explode series. The first version Explode by Jordan & Baker was released in 2002, Xplode 2 by Shaun Baker followed in 2005. Both hit the sales charts. The third Explode part was a club success for months and also hit the sales charts in Germany and Austria.

The Seaside Clubbers' first official album entitled Abriss Volksmusik will be released in August 2012 via Daredo / Intergroove / Proton Records. The first single from the album is the track Galaxy with singer Jay Gerado. On the album there was a collaboration with the pop singer Andreas Martin . The title “I'll catch the moon” was reinterpreted by Andreas Martin and mixed with rapeseed and electronic elements. The original hit the German charts in 2008. In 2017 the formation covered the song "You're my Mate" by the British band Right Said Fred , combining the original chorus with house elements and German rap passages.
