Seasons was a digital special interest channel in Germany that was broadcast on the digital platform DF1 .

The station started broadcasting on June 21, 1997, almost a year after DF1 started broadcasting (July 1996). The program was organized by Seasons Television GmbH & Co.KG under the umbrella of the French company MultiThématiques GmbH in Munich . The broadcaster received media approval from the Bavarian State Center for New Media. However, for financial reasons, broadcasting was stopped on September 30, 2001.

Seasons was the premier television channel for anglers , hunters and other nature lovers , broadcasting 16 hours of programming daily and showing documentaries , magazines and guides on hunting, fishing and nature. Special programs were SEASONS Aktuell and SEASONS - stories of anglers and hunters. At Seasons, experts imparted their knowledge and tell from their hunting experiences.

Seasons International

In addition to the German branch of the channel, there were also other Seasons programs in the international area. Seasons also broadcast in France , Italy and Spain .

Shareholders

The corporate structure of MultiThématiques GmbH as the organizer of Seasons consisted 100% of MultiThématiques SA, Boulogne-Billancourt / France, in which the Canal + Group, Paris, held a 27.42% stake. Likewise to 9.09% Vivendi Universal SA, 27.42% Liberty Media International and 27.42% Lagardère SCA as well as 8.64% Part´Com, the CDC Participations (Caisse des Depôts er Consignations).
