Sebastián Henao Gómez (born August 5, 1993 in Rionegro ) is a Colombian racing cyclist .

Athletic career

In 2011, Sebastián Henao won a stage of the Vuelta del Porvenir de Columbia for juniors and was second overall. The following year he was third in the overall ranking of the Vuelta de la Juventud Colombia , fourth in the Clásica Ciudad de Girardot and second in the Clásica Marinilla . In 2013 he won the overall ranking and a stage of the Clásica de Funza .

In 2014, Henao received a contract with the British team Sky and competed for this team in the Giro d'Italia for the first time . In the overall ranking he reached 22nd place and was fifth in the junior ranking, in 2015 he was 41st, and in 2016 he finished 17th. In 2019 he started two big tours: At the Giro he finished 24th in the overall ranking and at the Vuelta a España 39.

Sebastián Henao is a cousin of Sergio Henao , who is also signed to Team Sky until 2018 .
