Sebastian Abesser (Jägermeister)

Sebastian Abesser (born April 25, 1559 in Grimmelshausen ; † June 30, 1616 in Schleusingen ) was electoral and princely Saxon chief game and hunter master in the Franconian county of Henneberg .

Life

He was the son of the henneberg hunter, chicken catcher and forester Valentin Abesser in the Themar office . In 1604 he was promoted to hunter and head game master. He held this office until his childless death and organized a. a. numerous stately hunts in the Thuringian Forest .

On the occasion of his death, his funeral sermon appeared in print in 1616, which was given by the then superintendent Wolfgang Seberg.
