Sebastian Persch

Sebastian Barsch (* 1975 in Menden ) is a German historian and history teacher .

Barsch studied history and special education at the University of Cologne and history, as well as philosophy and literary studies at the FernUniversität Hagen . From 2002 to 2010 he was a teacher at special schools . In 2010 he was seconded to the Department of History at the University of Cologne as a teacher. From 2013 to 2016 he was a member of the management team at the Center for Teacher Education, most recently also deputy managing director. Since October 2016 he has been Professor of History Didactics at the University of Kiel . His main research interests are inclusion and diversity in history didactics, the effectiveness of practical phases in history teacher training and disability history. He is u. a. Member of the Conference for History Didactics and the International Society for History Didactics . He is co-editor of the science blog Public Disability History.
