Sebastian Körber (born May 5, 1980 in Forchheim ) is a German architect and politician ( FDP ). From 2009 to 2013 he was a member of the German Bundestag . He has been a member of the Bavarian state parliament since 2018 .

Life

In 1999, Körber graduated from the Ehrenbürg-Gymnasium in Forchheim. He completed his engineering studies at the Technical University of Munich with a diploma in 2005. Since then he has been an independent architect . Since 2011 he has been involved in subsidiaries of the denkmalneu group and since 2013 has headed the "Purchasing and Project Development" department. Sebastian Körber is single and Roman Catholic.

Since 2008 he has been deputy district chairman of the FDP Upper Franconia. In 2009, Körber was elected as a member of the state board of the FDP Bavaria . In addition, from 2009 to 2010 he was state chairman of JuLis in Bavaria. He is chairman of the FDP federal committee for urban development and housing.

In the federal election on September 27, 2009 , Sebastian Körber entered the German Bundestag via the Bavarian state list . He was a full member of the Transport, Building and Urban Development Committee and a deputy member of the Petitions Committee . He was named by his parliamentary group as secretary in the German Bundestag and elected by the plenary.

At the end of October 2013, after leaving the Bundestag, Körber was unanimously nominated by the FDP district association Forchheim as a candidate for the mayoral election on March 16, 2014, in which he ran against incumbent Franz Stumpf and received 9.87% of the votes. In the same local election, Körber was elected to the district council of the Forchheim district and the city ​​council of his hometown Forchheim.

On November 23, 2013, Körber was elected deputy state chairman of the FDP Bavaria. He was confirmed in this office in 2015.

On October 14, 2018, Körber was elected to the Bavarian State Parliament via the FDP's Upper Franconian List. There, Körber is chairman of the committee for housing, construction and transport.
