Sebastian Krolop

Sebastian Krolop (* 1971 in Bruchsal ) is a German doctor, economist and author.

Life

Krolop is a director of HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management System Society), an independent, non-profit, global society dedicated to promoting the quality and safety of healthcare through technology and data, headquartered in Chicago, IL, USA. As Global Chief Operating and Strategy Officer (COSO), he is responsible for achieving the operational and strategic goals of the entire organization.

Krolop studied medicine ( Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg , Universitätsklinikum Mannheim , University of Chicago , Southern Illinois University ) and obtained his " Master of Healthcare Management" at the Academy for Further Education at the Universities of Heidelberg and Mannheim. He received his doctorate as Dr. med. at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the Pediatric Surgical Clinic of the Faculty of Clinical Medicine in Mannheim.

As a doctor he worked at the University Hospital Heidelberg in the clinic for anesthesiology. He worked as a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group in Frankfurt before becoming managing partner of ADMED. At Accenture he was "Partner Strategy Consulting Healthcare" for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, at Philips he was "Vice President and Partner Healthcare Transformation Services" for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Before becoming a board member at HIMSS, he was Partner and Industry Lead Life Science and Health Care at Deloitte.

Together with other authors, Krolop has authored numerous health economic books and studies, including a. the Hospital Rating Report , Nursing Home Rating Report, and Rehab Rating Report series . He has a teaching position at the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences .

He is a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society and is Chair-Elect there . Furthermore, he is u. a. Member of the "International Health Economics Association", the German Society for Health Economics and the German Society for Medical Controlling .
