Sebastian Plate (born August 7, 1979 in Düsseldorf) is a German football player .

Career

Sebastian Plate played for Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach from 2002 to 2005 . Mainly, however, the defender was used in the second team. In total, he played two games in the highest German league. For the 2005/06 season he moved to the regional league team Preußen Münster and had 20 missions there. Due to a ruptured cruciate ligament , he had to take a year off. He then moved back to the Bergisches Land and played first with Spvg. Radevormwald and later with Cronenberger SC .

In the 2009/10 season, Plate moved to the Lower Rhine division FC Remscheid , where he also took over the captaincy. With the FCR, he was relegated from the association league in 2010 and has since played in the Lower Rhine regional league. Since July 2012 he has been wearing the TSV Ronsdorf jersey in the Landesliga Group 1.

Sebastian Plate has been studying sport and biology to become a teacher at the University of Wuppertal since 2007.

Sebastian Plate has been a civil servant teacher since 2015.
