× Secalotricum is a cereal . It is a cross of wheat ( Triticum aestivum L.) as a male and rye ( Secale cereale L.) as a female partner. The name is made up of SECALe and TRItiCUM. The reverse junction gives triticale .

economics

As a rule, Secalotricum does not meet the qualitative demands that are made of food grain. The type of grain is largely of no economic importance.

The possibility of crossing Secale × Triticum has been known for many decades, but it is complicated.
