The Tennenlohe Forest is a municipality-free area in the Central Franconian district of Erlangen-Höchstadt .

The 10.81 km² large state forest is part of the Sebalder Reichswald east of the Erlangen district of Tennenlohe . The B 4 partially forms the western border of the area. The Ofenlochberg and the Dornberg are 335 meters each, the highest elevations in the Tennenlohe Forest. In the southwest of the eastern part of which is junction Tennenlohe of A 3 . On the former military training area of ​​the United States Army , the nature reserve Tennenloher Forst was set up, most of which is located in the area of ​​the Tennenlohe Forest. In an 85 hectare horse paddock , the open landscape of the former military training area is preserved by grazing with Przewalski horses .
