history
Until the church is planted
Lonnerstadt was first mentioned in a document on October 5, 910. King Ludwig IV. (Called the child) confirmed various purchase and exchange transactions between the Eichstätt bishop Erchanbald and aristocrats from the Eichstätt area. (MGH DD The documents Zwentibold and Ludwig the child no. 74/5) Since Ludwig IV documented ten days later in Forchheim, only 25 kilometers away, the document fragment, of which only the eschat record and regest have survived , is generally regarded as genuine. Lonnerstadt is located together with Mailach , Uehlfeld and Wachenroth in a collection of places with pre-Franconian-Thuringian names within a place-name area that was subsequently influenced by Franconian and partly Slavic. This, together with the fact that Lonnerstadt was the original parish of the entire middle Aischgrund from Uehlfeld via Höchstadt an der Aisch to Medbach , indicates that the place is very old. The church patron St. Oswald points to the first wave of the Anglo-Saxon mission around 720. At the time of the first documentary mention, a church and a noble mansion with accessories can be safely assumed. The Church of Lonnerstadt is sometimes called Slavs Church from the time of the Slavs mission of Charlemagne referred, however, is likely to be older than these churches given by 780 in order. Wachenroth and Mühlhausen in the valley of the rich Ebrach can easily be imagined as Slavic churches separated from Lonnerstadt.
Around 1003 Lonnerstadt appears together with other places in the area in a donation from Margrave Heinrich / Ezilo von Schweinfurt to the Fulda Monastery , probably a forced assignment embellished as a gift after the latter's failed uprising against King Heinrich II . Like all the other places mentioned, it did not stay with Fulda; rather, in the 11th and 12th centuries Lonnerstadt seems to have been owned or at least under the jurisdiction of the Counts of Höchstadt. After the extinction of the last count, Hermann von Stahleck , who had married into the Staufer family and was supported by his royal brother-in-law Konrad III. In 1142 he was appointed Count Palatine of the Rhine , Höchstadt and the surrounding area came to the Bamberg Monastery in 1156 . This had the high jurisdiction over Lonnerstadt throughout . A document from 1135, in which Count Goswin von Höchstadt appeared as a witness, shows that the Würzburg bishops also owned land and serfs there. In the 12th and 13th centuries local nobles appeared as ministers of the Bamberg church.
The Thirty Years' War met Lonnerstadt hard since it was located at a strategic place: From 1619 to 1629 it served different troops again and again as a base, 1631 Swedish troops invaded, plundered and pillaged in 1632, the Croatian mercenaries Tilly's place.
Towards the end of the 18th century there were 95 properties in Lonnerstadt. The high court was exercised by the Bamberg center of Höchstadt . The village and community rulership was held by the caste office in Höchstadt , the Nuremberg State Almosenamt- Vogtei Lonnerstadt and the servant of the Würzburg office winery Schlüsselfeld . The caste office in Höchstadt, however, claimed this for itself. The landlords were the Kastenamt Höchstadt (11 estates, 3 estates, 1 Sölde , 4 houses, 2 taverns, 1 little house), the Vogtei Lonnerstadt (3 courtyards, 18 Sölden), the Nuremberg owner von Imhoff (2 estates), Brandenburg-Bayreuth ( Dachsbach caste and jurisdiction office : 1 tavern; Frauenaurach monastery : 1 three-quarter courtyard, 1 half-courtyard, 1 quarter courtyard, 6 estates, 2 houses, 1 mill), the Schlüsselfeld official winery (6 courtyards, 18 Sölden), the Schönborn dominion in Pommersfelden (1st Inn, 1 estate, 1 Sölde), the manor Vestenbergsgreuth (5 estates) and the parish of Höchstadt (1 yard, 1 Sölde). There was 1 Sölde and 1 house in the municipal buildings.
In 1802 Lonnerstadt came to Bavaria with the exception of the Nuremberg subjects, who only fell to Bavaria in 1806. As part of the municipal edict , the Lonnerstadt tax district was formed in 1808 , to which Ailsbach and Fetzelhofen belonged. With the second community edict (1818), two rural communities were formed:
- Fetzelhofen with Ailsbach
- Lonnerstadt
The municipality of Lonnerstadt was subordinate in administration and jurisdiction to the regional court of Höchstadt and in the financial administration to the rent office of Höchstadt . In the voluntary jurisdiction, 2 properties were subordinate to the Barons von Imhoff (until 1823), 5 properties to the Vestenbergsgreuth Patrimonial Court (until 1848) and 3 properties to the PG Pommersfelden (until 1848). From 1862 Lonnerstadt was administered by the district office of Höchstadt an der Aisch (renamed the district of Höchstadt an der Aisch in 1938 ) and continued to be administered by the Rentamt Höchstadt (1920–1929 tax office Höchstadt , from 1929 tax office Forchheim ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court of Höchstadt until 1879, 1880–1959 district court of Höchstadt , from 1959 district court of Forchheim . The community originally had an area of 11.008 km².
Incorporations
On January 1, 1972, the previously independent municipality of Fetzelhofen was incorporated. Mailach was added on May 1, 1978.

badges and flags

Red and white municipal flag |
|
Justification of the coat of arms: The slopes along the Weißach with their loamy soils are ideal for growing hops. This is indicated by the hops umbel in the coat of arms, which is handed down as a picture in a seal and a signet with the initials of the place name from the 17th century. In 1819 the field color red was determined. The coat of arms was forgotten. It has been in operation again since 1954. |
