Geschaidt is a municipality-free area in the Central Franconian district of Erlangen-Höchstadt .

The 8.48 km² large state forest is the part of the Sebalder Reichswald to the east and south of Heroldsberg . In the north-west it borders on Kalchreuth and thus divides the Heroldsberg community into two parts. To the north are the Heroldsberg districts of Kleingeschaidt and Großgeschaidt , to the east, Lauf an der Pegnitz and the Günthersbühler Forst . The ridge of the 392 meter high Haidberg is the southern border to the Erlenstegen forest . The Kraftshofer Forest and the Kalchreuther Forest border to the southwest . At 410 meters, the Reigelsberg is the highest point in the area.

In the south-west, the Graefenberg Railway from Nuremberg crosses the area from west to east and then runs in a wide arc to the north in the direction of Heroldsberg. The B 2 also runs through the southwest.
