Kleingeschaidt (colloquially: glāgschā ) is a district of the Heroldsberg market in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district in Middle Franconia .

location

The village is divided into the “old place” in the north and the “settlement” in the south. The settlement was originally built for the workers of a local hardware factory. The place is immediately surrounded by arable land and grassland. In the south are the corridor areas Katzenkopf and Vogelleite , in the northeast the Eichelleite and in the east the Hoppberg . A little further south are the forest areas Im Blech and Hermannswinkel . The district road ERH 10 crosses the federal road 2 to the neighboring Großgeschaidt (0.5 km northwest) or to Tauchersreuth (2.5 km southeast).

history

The place was first mentioned in a document around 1300 as a "small business". The defining word of the place name is gescheide ( mhd. Border). So the place was on a natural or political border. The Fraisch border between the offices of Heroldsberg and Eschenau could be used as a political border . Somewhat absurd but possible is the derivation of Geschaide, which in beekeepers' terminology describes an empty bee container. Accordingly, beekeeping would be assumed there.

It can be assumed that Kleingeschaidt is the daughter settlement of Großgeschaidt . Both places were an imperial fiefdom that the Burgraviate of Nuremberg had received. The Nuremberg patrician Weigel had at that time manorial claims a Drittelhube (certified in 1320) in "a few Gescheide". In addition, the burgrave Albrecht the Beautiful was wealthy in the place and as a result his son-in-law Swantibor I of Pomerania-Stettin. In 1391 he sold his claims to Heinrich and Konrad Geuder . In 1439 this property complex was given as eight properties, in 1548 with six properties (three courtyards, three estates), and in 1778 with seven properties (3 half courtyards, 1 Söldengut with a cone, 1 Söldengütlein, 2 estates). The Geuder built the manor house, which has been preserved to this day, in 1614 and kept the property until 1661. Another local owner was the Nuremberg patrician landlord . In 1435 Paul Grundherr received a Söldengut in "Clein Gescheide". While the landlord remained in their hands until the end of the Old Kingdom , the Geuder property came to the patricians Welser in the middle of the 17th century , who kept it until 1747. The place was in the Fraisch district of the Brandenburg-Bayreuth Oberamt Baiersdorf .

As part of the community edict (early 19th century), Kleingeschaidt was assigned to the Kalchreuth tax district . In 1818 the rural community of Kleingeschaidt was formed. In administration and jurisdiction, it was subordinate to the Erlangen Regional Court and in the financial administration to the Erlangen Rent Office (from 1920 Erlangen Tax Office ). From 1862 Kleingeschaidt was administered by the Erlangen District Office (renamed the Erlangen District in 1938 ). The jurisdiction remained until 1879 the District Court Erlangen, from 1880 at the district court Erlangen . The municipality had an area of 1.484 km².

On May 1, 1978, Kleingeschaidt was incorporated into Heroldsberg as part of the regional reform .
