Hops (heraldry)
In heraldry , the hops are a heraldic figure that is rarely seen. Real hops are represented as a climbing plant or as a single tendril with umbel and leaves or as a single umbel, usually in green, but other tingings are also possible. The depiction of the plant in local coats of arms is often an indication of a hop-growing area .
