The Stone Roses (1989) Second coming -

Second Coming is the second and final studio album by the British band The Stone Roses , released in 1994 .

The album

After the success of the debut album The Stone Roses and the single Fools Gold , it was over five years before the next studio album. A legal battle with their record company and high expectations led to this long hiatus.

The album received moderate reviews, especially in the UK. It reached number four in the UK album charts, the first single Love Spreads only reached number two in the UK Top 40 to the disappointment of the band . In the USA the album reached number 47, in Germany number 57, in Austria and Switzerland number 35 each.

After the release, tensions in the band intensified, which led to John Squire's departure and then to the band's end in 1996.

The track list has 12 songs, but the CD contains 99 tracks. With the exception of track 90, these are only silent tracks of 4 seconds each.
