Seconds From Disaster (English title: Seconds From Disaster ) is an American documentary series from National Geographic Channel is that accidents and their causes. The series consists of 67 episodes and is broadcast in Germany by National Geographic Channel Germany, N24 , N24 Doku and n-tv . The series is running on n-tv under the title Countdown to Disaster . In Switzerland it is broadcast by TV24 and in Austria by ORF III .
Concept of an episode
After a brief introduction to the subject, the first part shows how one experienced the accident, whereby interviews with witnesses also play a role. The second part shows how investigators (including NTSB ) searched for causes. At the end, the disaster is summarized again, with all the relevant facts that led to the disaster being named, possibly supplemented by measures to prevent a repetition of such a disaster.
