N24 Doku is a  private television broadcaster  of  WeltN24 GmbH . The station is a timeshift offshoot of the news broadcaster Welt , which began operations on September 17, 2016. The transmitter is fully concentrated on  documentaries  and  reports  and on free television ( free TV ) to see.

The news programs that run in the Welt vormittags program window are consistently replaced by documentaries and reports. From 2 p.m. the program will be broadcast by Welt with a time delay of one hour. Welt's usual treadmill with news and breaking news is hidden.

Trivia

N24 Doku is the first pure documentary broadcaster in Germany. During the same period, the Kabel eins Doku station from the former parent company ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE , which also specializes in documentaries and reports and wanted to claim the title, also started.
