The Seewartenstrasse in Hamburg-St. Pauli connects Bernhard-Nocht-Straße with the intersection of the streets Alfred-Wegener-Weg , Neumayerstraße and Venusberg . It forms the border between the parks of Alter Elbpark and Stintfang , runs over the Kersten-Miles Bridge with the Helgoländer Allee below and over the tunnel of underground line 3 located 60 meters west of it between the St Pauli Landungsbrücken and St. Pauli underground station .

When Seewartenstrasse was built around 1895, the Deutsche Seewarte was located 100 meters south of its eastern end on the Stintfang , until its building was destroyed in 1945 by the effects of the war. At the western end of Seewartenstrasse are the buildings of the former port hospital and the Hotel Hafen Hamburg . The eastern end of the building of the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency , which is the successor organization to the Seewarte, is right at the intersection of Seewartenstrasse and Bernhard-Nocht-Strasse .
