The Bergheim glider airfield is a glider airfield on the Wiedenfelder Höhe , in the area of ​​the town of Bergheim in North Rhine-Westphalia, west of the districts of Paffendorf and Glesch. It is a pure glider airfield without powered flight . It starts with a winch .

history

When the glider airfield Frechen was closed in 1990 , the resident clubs Segelfluggemeinschaft Erftstadt eV and Luftsportgruppe Frechen eV , as well as the gliding department of Jugend 07 Bergheim merged to form the new Luftsportclub Erftland eV . The construction of the new glider airfield on the Wiedenfelder Höhe was completed within two years .
