Eva Rieck

Eva Rieck (born October 6, 1949 in Wels , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian theater and film actress .

Life

Rieck attended the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna from 1966 to 1968 . First engagements followed at the Theater am Dom in Cologne , the Theater am Turm in Frankfurt am Main and the Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna.

From the 1970s on, Rieck played a number of roles in German-language television productions. In 1975 she interpreted the role of Hero in a television production of William Shakespeare's comedy Much Ado About Nothing for Second German Television . She played, among other things, in 1976 in the crime series Derrick in episode 29 ( The Man from Portofino ) as well as in the series Two Brothers . In 1984 she played the title role in the comic opera Der Mikado in a joint production by Swiss television and the Schauspielhaus Zürich .

As a stage actress she gave in 1972 at the Bregenz Festival in a production of the Vienna Burgtheater the Erny in Franz Grillparzer A faithful servant of his master . Rieck performed regularly at the Schauspielhaus Zurich. In 1982 she played the role of the maid Franziska in the comedy Minna von Barnhelm at the Schauspielhaus Zürich under the direction of Jürgen Flimm . In 1991 she played there the Bertha in Peter Palitzschs staging of the play Exiles ( Exiles ) by James Joyce . In 1997 she was the partner of Marcus Bluhm the Lady Milford in Matthias Hartmann's production of Friedrich Schiller's tragedy Kabale und Liebe .

Rieck also worked several times in productions at the Residenztheater in Munich . In 1996 she appeared under the direction of Matthias Hartmann in the tragedy Richard III. by William Shakespeare on. In 1997 she played the role of Frau Brigitte in Heinrich von Kleist's comedy Der zerbrochne Krug in Amélie Niermeyer's staging alongside Rosel Zech . At the Residenztheater in Munich she appeared in Frank Wedekind's Lulu in 2000 in the role of the lesbian Countess Geschwitz . There she was in the 2001/2002 season in Pierre Corneille's tragedy Rodogune directed by Elmar Goerden the Cleopatra . Her portrayal received a great deal of national attention in the feuilletons: the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung spoke of the "wonderful" Eva Rieck. Rieck was also active as a singer . In 1984 she took part in a recording of the comic opera Der Mikado by Arthur Sullivan in a musical version for actors. In 1987 she performed chansons at the Theater am Hechtplatz in Zurich , for which the Swiss writer Peter Zeindler had written the lyrics. The chansons were released in Switzerland in 1987 under the title Alles sich ein giltmal sein ... also on LP .
