Seiad Valley AVA (recognized since June 29, 1994) is a wine-growing region in the US state of California . The area extends to the administrative area of Siskiyou County near the Klamath River and the border with the state of Oregon .

The wine-growing region with a protected designation of origin currently only exists on paper. The winery Seaid Valley Vineyards , whose working towards the vineyards has been recognized, presented its activities one in the meantime.

Currently there are still around 1.2 hectares of vineyards planted with the Riesling grape variety , which are located at an altitude of around 540 m. The soil consists of alluvial land that has been enriched by overburden from previous gold mines. It is in particular the larger chunks of rock in the overburden that store the daytime heat and soften the cooling effect of the night air in the surrounding mountains.
