The Ochsenkopf-Süd cable car is a detachable double chairlift with a weather protection hood (2-CLD / B) that leads from Warmensteinach in the Fichtelgebirge to the summit of the Ochsenkopf .
history
The Ochsenkopf-Süd cable car was built in 1997 by the Italian cable car manufacturer Leitner from Sterzing . In 2020 the existing cable car will be replaced by a detachable 10-seater gondola lift and expanded to include the new infrastructures to be created. The valley and mountain stations will remain in their current form. The cable car axis remains unchanged. Garage building at the mountain station. The new building should cost 10 million euros.
winter
In winter, the chair opens together with the Ochsenkopf North Chairlift in Bischofsgruen the ski resort of the Ochsenkopf.
summer
In summer, bicycles can be transported to the summit by train, as there is a mountain bike single trail route under the lift route.
