The Ochsenkopf-Nord cable car is a detachable double chairlift with a weather protection hood (2-CLD / B) that leads from Bischofsgrün in the Fichtelgebirge to the summit of the Ochsenkopf .
history
The Ochsenkopf-Nord cable car was built in 1991 by the Italian cable car manufacturer Leitner from Sterzing . In spring 2020, the existing cable car will be replaced by a detachable 10-seater gondola. The valley and mountain stations will remain in their current form. The cable car axis remains unchanged. Garage building at the mountain station. Only the middle station will be moved 25 meters towards the valley and will be built as a one-sided year-round station with functional buildings and a new slope connection. You can also get on and off. The new building is expected to cost 16 million euros.
winter
In winter, the chairlift and the Ochsenkopf-Süd cable car with its valley station in the Fleckl district of Warmensteinach open up the Ochsenkopf ski area.
summer
In summer there is a summer toboggan run in the form of a stainless steel tub run, the starting area of which can be reached via the middle station of the chairlift. The toboggan sleds on this run are attached to the lift chairs for mountain transport. In addition, a rail-guided, year-round Alpine coaster with an integrated uphill lifter was opened at the valley station in summer 2015 .
