Sidecar World Championship 2018
The 2018 sidecar world championship was an international world championship for motorcycle teams organized by the FIM . There were seven races with a total of eleven runs. Carriages with a displacement of up to 600 cm³ were allowed.
Ben Birchall was with his brother Thomas Birchall as a passenger on a LCR - Yamaha -Gespann sidecar world champion .
Distribution of points
The world champion will be the driver or manufacturer who has accumulated the most points in the world championship by the end of the season. When distributing points, the placements are taken into account in the overall result of the respective race. The top fifteen drivers in each race receive points according to the following scheme:
