Selenia Iacchelli (born June 5, 1986 in Edmonton , Alberta ) is a Canadian soccer player .

Career

societies

Iacchelli played early in her career for various sub-class teams in her hometown of Edmonton. During her studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln she played for the Nebraska Cornhuskers university team there and played sporadically for the W-League participant Vancouver Whitecaps Women . In 2010 Iacchelli was part of the squad of the Italian first division club ASD Torres Calcio , later she returned to Edmonton Victoria SC, where she was under contract until 2013. In the so-called Player Allocation for the 2014 season of the NWSL , she was assigned to the Western New York Flash franchise , but did not pass the medical examination and was withdrawn from her association.

National team

Iacchelli was part of various Canadian youth national teams and took part in the U-19 World Cup in 2004 and the U-20 World Cup in 2006 . On November 24, 2013, she made her debut in a friendly against Mexico in the Canadian national team . In 2015 she was appointed to the squad for the World Cup in her own country .
