Seleucus is an impact crater on the northwestern front of the moon in the Plain of Oceanus Procellarum , south of Briggs and east of the great whale plain of Eddington . The interior has pronounced terracing .

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Greek astronomer Seleukos von Seleukia .
