Selimiye is a village on the Bozburun Peninsula in the Marmaris District of the Muğla Province in southwest Turkey . The village had 1,039 inhabitants in 2010.
history
In Roman times, the city of Hydras was near today's Selimiye on the Bay of Schoenus .
tourism
Because of its charming and remote location in the Gulf of Hisaronü, Selimiye is visited by motorized gulet- type sailing boats in summer .
