The Semla Reef is a 1.5 km long rocky reef off the south coast of South Georgia . It is on the south side of the entrance to Queen Maud Bay .

It was mapped by the South Georgia Survey during its 1951-1957 survey campaign. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the reef in 1958 after the whaling ship semla the South Georgia Whaling Company in Leith Harbor .
