Sempervivum ossetiense is a species of houseleek ( Sempervivum ) in the thick-leaf family(Crassulaceae). The specific epithet ossetiense refers to the occurrence of the species in Ossetia .

Vegetative characteristics
Sempervivum ossetiense grows as a few-leaved, thick, almost spherical rosette plant with a diameter of up to 3 centimeters and forms runners up to 20 centimeters in length. The obscured to oblong obscured, downy-haired leaves are green and have a small brown tip. The leaf blade is about 14 millimeters long, 6 millimeters wide and about 4 millimeters thick.
Generative characteristics
The flowering shoot reaches a length of up to 9.5 centimeters. The inflorescence has few flowers . The ten-fold flowers have a diameter of about 2.5 centimeters. Their upwardly curved petals have a darker tip. The sepals have a broad purple central stripe and pink edges. The stamens are purple. The red dotted anthers have a tip with a small tip.
Systematics and distribution
Sempervivum ossetiense is common in Georgia in the Caucasus and in Ossetia on limestone at heights of about 1520 meters. The species is only known from the locality of the type.
The first description by Royden Samuel Wale was published in 1942.
